Ingredients:
Rice – 450 gms
Dalda – 1 tbsp
Groundnut oil – 1 tbsp
Bay leaves --3
Green cardamom – 2
Cinnamon stick – 1 inch piece
Shahi jeera – ½ tsp
Cloves – 2
Nutmeg – ½ inch piece
Cashew nuts – 10 whole (split them into halves)
Onion – 1
Coriander leaves – ½ bunch
Mint leaves – ½ bunch
Ginger garlic paste – 1.5 tsp
Rock salt – 2 tsp
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Procedure:
1) Heat dalda, oil in a vessel, add bay leaves, green cardamom, cinnamon stick, shahi jeera, cloves, nutmeg and cashew nuts
2) Fry on low flame for 1 min
3) Add onion, coriander leaves, mint leaves
4) Fry till onions turn light brown color
5) Add ginger garlic paste, fry on low flame for 2 mins
6) Add rice, 900 ml water, rock salt and turmeric powder
7) Cover and cook on high flame till it roll boils
8) Once it roll boils, cover and cook on low flame till water is absorbed completely
Note: If you don’t have a measuring cup, regular teacup will be approximately 100 ml (100 gms)
